Tim Trent is a singer-songwriter from Pikeville, Kentucky, where he was born and continues to reside. His musical journey began in the 1980s with country music, but after giving his life to Jesus, he felt drawn toward a greater spiritual purpose. In 2025, Trent answered the call to write and perform gospel music that encourages listeners and shares the message of Christ.
Since embracing this calling, Trent has written more than 125 songs inspired by faith, family, and personal experiences. His first national release, “Happy Mother’s Day,” was written in memory of his mother, who passed away in 2015, and is currently receiving national radio promotion. He has also released “That’s Where Jesus Will Be,” another powerful expression of his Christian faith.
As a member of the Nashville Songwriters Association International, Trent continues to establish himself as a passionate and committed songwriter. His song “What I Lost with Jesus” gained recognition on the Bob Kingsley Top 40. Through his country-influenced gospel sound, Tim Trent hopes to inspire audiences and bring people closer to God.
