The McGrath Project has built its musical journey through experience, reinvention, and a deep commitment to rock music. Formed in Los Angeles, California, in 2005 by guitarist and vocalist Gary McGrath, the original lineup featured bassist Tim Bogert of Vanilla Fudge and Cactus, drummer Bryan Head of Dick Dale and Foreigner, and keyboardist Teddy Andreadis of Guns N’ Roses. Their release Love Is a Four Letter Word became an important early success, achieving more than 500,000 downloads in 2010.
In 2015, the band relocated to the Dallas and Fort Worth area of Texas and began a new chapter with a reformed lineup. The current group features drummer Andy Weaver, who has worked with Manny Charlton, formerly of Nazareth, keyboardist Dean Minnerly of Three Dog Night, Breeawna Littlepage McGrath on vocals, Devin Littlepage on bass, and Gary McGrath continuing on guitar and vocals.
Throughout 2025 and 2026, The McGrath Project strengthened its live presence by performing as direct support for several celebrated names in rock and popular music. The band shared stages with 1980s icon Tiffany, current Bon Jovi guitarist Phil X, former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke, and legendary 1970s rock band Nazareth. These performances introduced the group’s music to new audiences while demonstrating the energy and musicianship behind its evolving sound.
The release of On the Wings of the Psychedelic Radio Hour marks the beginning of another exciting era for The McGrath Project. Supported by an extensive touring schedule planned for the remainder of 2026 and throughout 2027, the album captures a band continuing to move forward while honoring the rich rock history within its lineup. After more than two decades of creativity and transformation, The McGrath Project remains ready for the next stage of its remarkable journey.
